Packing for a tropical or cruise winter holiday getaway takes planning. If you’re departing from a winter city, your travel wear will likely include stretchy jeans or leggings, sweater, coat, scarf and gloves.
Packing for your resort destination needs to be creative. Mixing and matching separates like skirts, blouses, dresses, a neutral sweater, light jacket or shawl for cool evenings are all essential. Aside from swimsuits and coverups, you also need daytime wear and likely evening dinner wear.
I’ve found that dresses that define the smallest part of your waist in a flowing fabric are both flattering and wonderful for travel wear. They pack easy by rolling them and arrive virtually wrinkle-free.
I purchased this dress recently during a Bahamas vacation at the Bahamian Straw Market. The vendors there love to bargain with the buyers. This was a real find. I bought this dress in two different colours for a total of $50 US! I know I will get a lot of wear with this style. It can be easily matched up with a jean jacket or shawl for a cool evening.
