The Natural Facelift

The Best Facial is a Great Workout!

My philosophy on skin care for the face is simple. (See: Youthful Grace at Every Age!) I believe that you can age beautifully by being the best of who you are and feeling comfortable in your own skin. And no one is going to look as good as unique you!

Though I have never had any type of cosmetic treatment on my face or body, I do believe it’s a personal decision for everyone. The women who I admire most in my life – my mother, my grandmothers are/were beautiful women who aged naturally. They looked real AND beautiful.

There are 43 muscles in your face. We exercise our bodies but we neglect to exercise our faces.

If you’d like to see more, here’s a video on the 43 facial muscles:

I always say, “the best facial is a great workout”, where you sweat well and your increased blood circulation transports oxygen and wonderful nutrients to your whole body. Love the flushed cheeks after workouts!

Maximizing Your Post-Workout Beauty Regime in 3 Easy Steps

Immediately after working out I…

  1. Gently apply Shea butter around my eye and mouth smile lines on my flushed face.
  2. Then, as I’m changing out of my workout clothes, I repeatedly pray the “Our Father” and “Hail Mary” with a big smile, all the while engaging many facial muscles. (You may choose to recite your favourite poem or the alphabet, or whatever you wish!) The point is that you are reciting this with a big smile on your face, and engaging many uplifting facial muscles!
  3. I repeat these prayers for a few minutes until I can feel my flushed facial muscles getting a good workout. They may ache a bit!
The Natural Facelift
Post-workout and post-facial exercise flush! Au nautrel!

I do this 3 times a week, after my TuesdayThursday and Saturday workouts. This exercise done this way I believe to be the best “natural face lift.” And this has helped keep my facial muscles well-toned.
